This is a shorter version of a 24-minute DVD I published in 2012.
Northern Lights (Aurora Borealis) are a spectacular phenomenon on the night sky in the northern regions, caused by particles in the solar wind colliding with the earth's atmosphere.
I have photographed the auroras for several years, and with this film, containing hundreds of still photos and several timelapse sequences, I hopefully give the viewer an impression of what it feels like to experience the magnificent beauty of the auroras in real life.
Contrary to many timelapse films of the Northern Lights, the speed of the moving auroras is more true to life here.
This is a calm and slow-paced film, meant for a relaxing and awe-inspiring experience.
The music for this film is written and performed specially for this film, by Geir Bøhren and Bent Åserud. They are highly acclaimed and award-winning film music composers from Norway.
All images are from the northen parts of Norway.
