I met Erik during the Black Lives Matter protests in Los Angeles. After listening to him give his first public statement on Hollywood Blvd, we struck up a friendship that resulted in this film. The film was shot over the course of 2 weeks with no agenda besides capturing Erik's journey as a Black man in America.

The motivation behind this series was to not only share stories of people that normally don’t get heard, but also generate a tangible impact that makes a difference.
