Today we taste an aged Viking Blood 2 Mead. One year aged mead. Yum. People ask all the time if they need to age mead. The answer is... it's up to you, but aged mead will almost always be better than young mead. This is Viking Blood 2, the one made with cherry juice and honey, not to be confused with the Dansk Mjod product, "Viking Blod". We did that in a separate video! This is a variation on a 13h century recipe for cherry mead or cherry melomel.
