This is a very common problem with the MK 7 GOLF and most likely shares the same design as similar Audi, Skoda & Seat models. In this video I look at the 4 possible areas my boot is leaking from and I show you how to prevent water ingress. Prevention is always better than cure so if your boot isn't leaking yet, it might be worth doing this anyway. Water ingress is bad news as it will eventually rust out your floor and turn your car into a swamp.
