Vargas Landscaping visits a house they started working on 22 years ago. Showing before & after videos/photos, Ismael explains the types of plants that were removed and replaced. He explains the Enhanced fruit tree area with vegetables and herbs as well as the addition of 2 inches mulch (keep moisture in soil, prevent a percentage of weeds and to improve the organic matter in the soil) and an improved incorporated drip irrigation.
The backyard was cleaned up (sorry, some before photos/video unavailable) and the Magnolia Tree and Tabebuia Tree were pruned and the branch structure was rebuilt.
Plants Discussed:
Rosemary (was dying but will try to bring back)
Dusty Miller
Euphorbia Milii (for contrast of color-red flowers against other plants)
Magnolia Tree (pruned and branch structure enhanced)
Tabebuia Tree (pruned and branch structure enhanced)
Morea (was cut way back so the new foilage will grow back in a natural shape)
Potato Bush (one was sick/weak due to lack of water/fertilizer but was pruned and fertilized)
Olive Trees (healthy but need a better branch structure and canopy)
Camphor Tree (maybe too much water/bad drainage or a fungus so will fertilize as well as trim suckers and open up the branches like the other already pruned trees)
Summary: Project started up again 2 weeks ago to improve the landscape, landscape system initially began 22 years ago, lots of plant material was removed (volunteers, overgrown), added herbs and vegetables by fruit trees, installed drippers with incorporated meters, Fertilizer: organic fertilizer and synthetic fertilizer to bring health back to normal. Grow Power (organic fertilizer), nitrogen (to give more green to Camphor trees), soil stabilizer (Mirimichi Green) to improve the condition of the soil. Great change will be visible in 1-2 years.
