US denounced for demanding increased upkeep for its forces
According to the south Korean internet newspaper "Tongil News", south Korean people from all walks of life held a press conference at the Kwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul on the 9th, denouncing the United States for pressing the increased upkeep for its forces on south Korea.
Speakers said the United States demands sharp increase of the upkeep for the US forces in south Korea. They also said the United States seeks its own interest by squeezing the south Korean people and its atrocious looting should no longer be allowed.
Then, a press release was read out.
It maintained that there is no need to keep the relations with the United States keen on gangster-like acts under the pretext of alliance and expressed a will to positively conduct the campaign for abrogation of the south Korea-US alliance and "mutual defence treaty" and withdrawal of the US forces from south Korea.
At the end of the press conference, the participants staged a demonstration denouncing the United States.
