The Little Petra, Jordan. Walk through the Little Petra to reach magnificent views at the end of the canyon.
The little Petra is much less visited then it’s famous sister the Petra proper. Enjoying Little Petra free of tourists make a welcome change from crowded Petra proper. Like Petra, it is a Nabataean site, with buildings carved into the walls of the sandstone canyons. Little Petra is much smaller, consisting of three wider open areas connected by a 450-metre canyon. Walk to the end of of the second narrow canyon. You will find fantastic views and a Beduin tent offering a refreshing tea there.
It is part of the Petra Archeological Park and included in Petra's inscription as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Little Petra is located some 10 minutes drive from Petra itself. The good thing is that the entry to the Little Petra is free (included in your Petra ticket, but nobody checks)
