Three-year-olds Mack Porter and Payson Altice became fast friends when they were fighting cancer at Phoenix Children’s Hospital earlier this year. Mack and Payson played together to pass the time while receiving treatment. Their special bond brought some much needed relief to their parents. Thankfully, both Mack and Payson are now in remission. But as a result, their meetups are less frequent. So their parents recently set up a playdate.
Mack surprised Payson with some flowers and the two shared an adorable dance. Mack and Payson’s parents say that their friendship has changed and inspired them all. Mack and Payson’s parents have also launched a donation page to help more patients at Phoenix Children’s Hospital reach remission and build lasting friendships like the one their kids have with each other.
