Chef Terry found a recipe for Gingerbread that he wants to share with you. He has a modest collection of antique cook books. Every now and then he goes through them for pleasure or inspiration. While looking through "The Mystery Chefs Own Cook Book" Garden City Publishing co inc. of Garden City NY 1943, He found this recipe for gingerbread cake. He also makes an orange mascarpone cream to go with it.

Ingredients
Gingerbread
2 cups Flour (All Purpose)
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon baking soda
2 teaspoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon ginger (ground)
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 cup molases
1/2 cup whole milk
Mascarpone Cream
8 ounces Mascarpone cheese
2 Tablespoons honey
1 Tablespoon orange liqueur
1 Tablespoon orange juice
zest from 1/2 an orange
