Fellow Nigerian Africans,
This video (by Bishop Tudor Bismark) is a must watch! It might pain some people since truth often hurts.
Here is the point: "Prayer is not in the success equation; it is not about praising God; it is about understanding how things work." In other words, while God feeds the birds of air (since they neither sow nor reap), He does not bring food to the nests of those birds.
It is all about common sense that leadership is action, not a position. Birds of air bring the food to the nests every day and enjoy the food with their family; most of our leaders and the elite steal from our nest only to hide the loot in some foreign country's nest, and then turn around to tell us to pray. Indeed, many Nigerians pray daily, and often end with the following words: "Only God will save Nigeria."
So, Father God, it is over to you now: Go to those foreign banks where some ruthless, "God-calling" Nigerian leaders and elite hide Nigerian money, bring that money back to the nest of Nigerians, and use it to develop Nigeria.
“Ignorance is a disease,” and whoever coined those words must have had the looters of the Nigerian money in mind. Put differently, "you can pray all you want and still be ignorant" that progressive nations invest in their own countries while ignorant looters steal from their people and hide the loot in other countries. It is too shameful that some human beings called leaders and elite cannot reason better than birds!
The bottom line is that a liberated mind is the lasting solution to Nigeria (and some other African nations that are similarly situated) because a liberated mind knows that prayers without action are completely useless for God ONLY helps those who help themselves!
