A man accused of killing his wife at a south Land Park home appeared in court Wednesday. Mark Long, 59, is suspected of killing 61-year-old Susan Roberts, Sacramento police said. Long did not enter a plea in court. He said he could not afford an attorney and was appointed a public defender.
