Living with the Sony WH-1000XM4 has been an experience over the last six months. It's been a really fun set of headphones to have and use to movie watching and for listening to dance music.
Its not exactly a Hi-Fi replacement set of headphones but its super convenient to shove into your bag and scoot off to work for the day or when you're travelling. It's ANC is perhaps the best I've ever heard or experienced and its got a terrific amount of features, a little too many if you ask me.
I'm pretty sure these are going to last me years before they give any issues considering how well they've been put together. Their battery life is amazing, I charge them once every few weeks since I don't use them for hours at a stretch per day but when their playback can last you more than 24Hrs its hard to find fault with them.
Does it make any sense to wait for the XM5 or should you just go for these? Considering the XM5's haven't been announced yet, it may not make any sense to play the "waiting" game just yet. You might end up waiting for a whole year so why not just go ahead with what's possibly the best portable, feature packed, science filled set of headphones available in the market today?
