Artist Guen Montgomery presents this free gallery talk via Zoom, co-presented with Central Print, in conjunction with her current Sheldon Art Galleries exhibition, "Indexical Lacunae."
Guen Montgomery is an artist and performer whose work investigates identity through studies of gender, regional narrative and family mythology. Montgomery’s work incorporates printmaking, performance and sculpture, and recent pieces have looked critically at the relationship between possessions, historic privilege and whiteness.
She lives in Urbana, Illinois, teaching art foundations and printmaking at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
