NICOLA Sturgeon was quizzed today on stamping out racism in the SNP after a party chief was suspended for suggesting Priti Patel should be sent “back to Uganda".

Mr Rideout’s tweet came after Ms Patel reportedly raised concerns with the Irish government that its more liberal immigration policy could lead to Ukrainian refugees entering the UK illegally.
Mr Rideout - who also leads the party’s Scottish Currency Group - was suspended from the party with an investigation to follow, after the tweet was flagged to the SNP.
A party spokesman said: “This tweet is offensive and disgusting. The national secretary has been made aware and is looking into this.”
