First thing in the morning, drink 1 pint or more Lemon Water. This hydrates and rejuvenates the body-mind after hours of sleeping and aids in the removal of toxic material from the intestines.
Lemon Water, 1 quart
• Filtered water
• ½ of a lemon or lime juiced
• a pinch or up to ¼ teaspoon sea salt (optional)
• a pinch cayenne powder (optional)
1. Fill a quart-size Mason jar with filtered water, add lemon juice, sea salt and cayenne. Stir and drink at least 1 pint.
Notes: Adding a pinch of full spectrum sea salt like Himalayan Pink Salt or Celtic Salt optimizes hydration even further, and a pinch of cayenne gently warms digestion and purifies the blood.
To support extra purification or if feeling unsettled from last night’s dinner, consider taking 1-3 caps activated charcoal capsules with the lemon water.
In moderation lemon and lime juice is considered tri-doshic, meaning it’s balancing to both vata, pitta and kapha types.
