After breaking out with her 2016 mixtape 'A Good Night in the Ghetto' and her collaborative work with Drake and YG, Bay area rapper Kamaiyah is still on her grind. Back in July, she dropped the positive single “Build You Up,” featuring production from 1OFAKIND and Trackademicks. The song—which samples “Feels Good” by Tony! Toni! Toné!—is nearing half-a-million streams on Spotify and serves as the lead single from her upcoming project 'Don’t Ever Get It Twisted.' According to Kamaiyah, she was aiming to make a song that empowered young women.
