It can be either small tear or bigger tear. Patient with small tear will have pain and movement problems, loss of strength also.To diagnose this patients will be asked to lift their hand and move it sideways. Patient with bigger tear wont be able to lift hand at all, it will fall down.These are clinical signs of rotatory cuff tear. Another sign of rotatory cuff tear is night time pain radiating to middle of the arm.
