The 12th AACTA International Award for Best Direction in Film goes to Baz Luhrmann for Elvis.
Australian writer, director and producer Baz Luhrmann is known for his extravagant and lavish films including his latest biographical film Elvis. The Gold Coast production follows the life of Elvis from his early beginnings and rise as the King of Rock to his eventual death. The film has become a critical and commercial success, introducing Elvis into the modern era.
