Wrestling Level Change Drill by Mason Fowler
A common problem jiu-jitsu practitioners have with their wrestling shots is that they don't level change first before beginning their shot. This creates a number of problems and prevents you from getting under your opponent's defenses.
Practice the level change drill as part of a warm-up or as part of a conditioning routine. It's a great way to practice your shot and correct this common mistake.
Your partner can have his hands out to help simulate a real match, but it's recommended they use their hands to protect their 🥜, especially when performing many reps as part of a conditioning drill.
