► 2022 marked the 100th anniversary of the legendary Toots Thielemans. (1922-2016 )
Mike Del Ferro has been performing worldwide with the successful program: “Mike del Ferro - Toots Thielemans 100”, in collaboration with the management of Toots and special guest Hermine Deurloo on Harmonica.

"I have been very blessed to play -on and off- with Toots over a 10 year period. I toured with him all over Europe, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Azerbaijan and the Caribbean. During that 10 year period I played around 150 concerts with Toots, an absolute highlight in my career."

► This project is with permission / in collaboration with Toots’ management ( Veerle Van de Poel ); since there will be more “Toots 100” Projects they are very strict on quality control.

► The program consists of a mix of songs Toots used to play (re-arranged by Mike del Ferro) and new repertory in the spirit of Toots.

► Mike spent countless hours with Toots talking about music and also has some great Toots stories to share with the audience.

► And - if technically possible for the venue - it would be possible to project/beam a beautiful photo gallery from Toots during the concert in the background.

► A short Q&A about Toots after the concert with the audience would be possible as well.

► Hermine Deurloo is a highly sought-after jazz chromatic harmonica player from Amsterdam. She has performed all over the world and has recorded several albums.

Her latest album, Riverbeast, released December 2019, available from Zennez Records, features legendary drummer Steve Gadd, with special guest Alain Clark.

► Mike del Ferro is a highly sought after International Award Winning Pianist and World Traveller from Amsterdam. To date he performed in 117 Countries. His reputation as a soloist, accompanist, composer and arranger has led to performances and recordings with musicians such as Toots Thielemans, Branford Marsalis, Jack DeJohnette, Randy Brecker, Oscar Castro Neves, Deborah Brown, Erik Truffaz, Jorge Rossy, Scott Hamilton, Richard Galliano, and many others.

► Mike has travelled the world extensively (so far 117 countries), searching for collaborations with musicians from cultures quite different to his own, and the musical results have been eye-opening, building musical bridges between cultures not normally within reach of each other. He has managed to combine elements of the revered canons of Western music interspersed with the audacity of Jazz improvisation, and paying tribute to the ancient structures of Asian, South American and African traditional music.
