This is not a review.... but rather to show that an old portable log splitter still works. A lot of people don't like it, but I wanted to show that it is a very capable splitter even on super hard Australian Gum Tree Hardwood. It's all about angles....and reading the crack lines in the wood. If it doesn't go, create a split with a metal wedge, and then it'll begin splitting with the baby ryobi splitter.

5 Tonne Ryobi Log Splitter. Bought this 4 years ago for $250 from Bunnings and modified a longer handle on it for easier use. Getting a bit rusty now but still works like a champ on super tough Australian Hardwood.
