Gather Round for Grand Rounds!
At times, residency has a sort of silo effect; we get locked into "the way we do things around here". Visiting Professors (VPs) provide us with perspectives that are often different from our own and serve to truly enrich the resident's experience. VPs have tremendous experience in their fields and it's always awesome to have them come and share their expertise and knowledge.
This week, Dr. Vaccaro Chairman of Orthopaedics at Thomas Jefferson and President of the Rothman Institute, shares what he has learned about the business of Orthopaedics. He details his own experience in the arena and gives us insight into how trends have changed over time. What financial hurdles will the next generation of Orthopaedic surgeons face?
