We walked down the Widenmayerstraße along the Isar river and crossed the Maiximilansbrücke.
At the end of the bridge is the famous Maximilianeum from where you have a great view of the Munich old city.
After that we continued along the Steinsdorfstraße till the St.Lukas church where we crossed the Mariannenbrücke.
We conituned to walk over the Kabelsteg, from where you have a great view of the St.Lukas church, Isar river and the Wehrsteg.
St. Luke's Church is the largest Protestant church in Munich. It was built in 1893, designed by Albert Schmidt. It is the only preserved Lutheran parish church in the historical area of Munich. St. Luke's is located on the banks of the Isar, between the Steinsdorfstraße and Mariannenplatz.
The Maximilianeum, a palatial building in Munich, was built as the home of a gifted students' foundation but since 1949 has housed the Bavarian State Parliament.
