A few weeks ago, I lamented in a video that there weren't enough Demos of distortion pedals featuring synths, drum machines, samplers and other electronic instruments. As if the universe was listening, a few days later, Valco ([ Ссылка ]) approached me asking whether I would like to demo their newest pedal on mt the channel - keen to be the change I want to see in the world, of course I said yes!
The KGB Dist is a pedal based around the iconic "Rat" distortion circuit with a number of enhancements which expand its tonal versatility and which (crucially for viewers of this channel) make it suited for use on electronic instruments.
In this video I explore the KGB Dist in depth, pairing it with a range of instruments and checking out how all of the neat features and modes on the pedal work.
Transparency notice: Valco FX kindly provided me the KGB Dist for the purposes of making this demo.
