The passing away of the legendary singer, #SPBalasubrahmanyam is a huge loss to the world of music & creativity.
He was perhaps the only musician to have lent his melodious voice to songs in 16 Indian languages.

I could not resist uttering the panegyric greeted by applause on our ostentatiously mesmerizing singer SPB whose singing is nothing short of magical. Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam mostly referred to as S. P. B. or Balu has recorded over 40,000 songs in 16 Indian languages predominantly in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Hindi and Malayalam.
The triumphant singer is highly admired for his unbelievable vocal range, intense rich voice, his own effulgent expression and a conglomeration of many styles, technique and control. These attributes supported him to express across various genres of Indian music, and he has been profoundly preferred by many of India's film music composers. His approach to singing is disciplined and systematic; he endures to his own effulgent expressions in order to make it most effective. S.P.B., though was very young, started singing for many different language films. As he became very busy, at times, he used to sing even 17 songs in 12 hours at the recording theatre. He has also sung in Sanskrit and some regard his pronunciation of this language to be very good.
The gifted singer S.P.Balasubrahmanyam is a proud recipient of the civilian Awards such as Padma Shri, Padma Bhushan, 7 National Film Awards, 4 Filmfare Awards, 10 South Filmfare awards and many other state awards.
