Film Synopsis:
"In the summer of 117, Gaius Quadratus Bassus is the Governor of Dacia Province and resides at Apulum. Ransacked by the memory of his beloved lost woman, Gaius lives torned beetween the gladiator games entartainment, of Ludus Apulensis, the administrative work and the permanently growing threat of rebellion which culminates finally with the terrible revolt of free Dacians in the year 117, the year of death of Emperor Trajanus, the conqueror of Dacia."
"In vara anului 117, Gaius Quadratus Bassus este guvernator în Provincia Dacia si isi are resedinta in castrul Apulum. Rascolit de amintirea iubitei pierdute, Gaius isi duce existenta intre jocurile de gladiaori din Ludus Apulensis, munca administrativa si amenintarea crescanda a razvratirii populatiilor din Provincie, ce culmineaza in final cu teribila rascoala a dacilor liberi împotriva stapanirii romane, din anul 117, anul mortii imparatului Traian."

What`s APULUM?
Apulum was a fort in the Roman province of Dacia in the 2nd and 4th centuries AD, located in today's Alba-Iulia, Romania, built near an ancient Dacian city. The Dacians were the local population with whom the Roman Empire fight fiercly in the time of Trajan Emperor.
Apulum is the largest castrum located in Romania, occupying 37.5 hectares (93 acres) (750 x 500 m2).
