This Film was shot on super8 by 'The Wildings' in 1979, in and around Battersea Arts Centre, London. The Track 'Dance' was from the album 'Why Did I buy Those Blue Pyjamas', which was released at the time. The album was an early example of crowd funding - 60 people paid £10 each to finance its release. They all had their photos on the back cover, and got their money back once the album (all 500 copies) had sold.
The Wildings went on to become '...and the Native Hipsters' (via a short stint as 'The Patterns'), releasing their best known track 'There Goes Concorde Again'.
The Hipsters also released 2 other records 'Tenderly Hurt Me' and 'Larry's Coming Back'. The Concorde track was also featured on 3 compilations. The Rough Trade Box Set, The NME double Album, and the John Peel Box Set. It was then re-released by the Hipsters in 2001 on a CD of various other recordings.
Since then there have been 2 other CD's of Hipster music. 'Songs To Protest About' (2005) and 'Original Copy" (2012). You can check them out on the hipster website at www.nativehipsters.co.uk or download tracks from their bandcamp page at [ Ссылка ]
