Having lived on the island of Kaua`i for 10 years, the ocean often serves as my inspiration.
In this tutorial, I'm painting an ocean-inspired silk scarf with alcohol inks.
The scarf is 100% Habotai silk, 8 inches by 54 inches. You'll see it's a fairly simple process that you too can try at home (be sure to be in a well ventilated room or use a respirator mask when painting with alcohol inks).
