"Amor y luxury" is the second single from singer Mónica Naranjo's studio album Tarantula .
The theme was released on 07/22/2008 in Spain where it was presented in Maxi-CD format and digital download. It went straight to No. 1 on the Promusicae charts, 1 as well as being the third best-selling single in Spain in 2008. 2
“Amor y luxury” was the second single from Tarantula, but at the express wish of Sony Music against the initial intention of Mónica and her team to continue making Mónica's new style known, whose perfect option for it was “Todo Lie”. 3 So much so that Mónica had already devised the video clip together with Juan Marrero for this song; finally the record company prevailed and "Amor y luxury" ended up being the second single, for which a splendid video clip was created (by Marrero) recorded in July 2008 in Valencia; and Juan Belmonte and Jordi Buch were asked for a batch of remixes, among which Juan Belmonte's “Choice Remix” and “Mix Show” stand out. Jordi Buch owns the “Old Fashion Remix” whose version was used in the program “Operación Triunfo 2008 ”, being interpreted by Mónica together with the participants of said contest, and was one of the most requested in nightclubs during the summer of 2008.
Later, in Adagio, “Amor y luxury” (like the rest of the songs that make up the work's repertoire) was adapted on stage by a symphony orchestra in a masterful new way.
