Luodai Old Town. Luodai is home to Hakka minority. Hakka people came to this area in the 17th century from Fujian province in the South Eastern area of China. The Hakka were forcibly moved away from their homes in Emperor Kangxi's, the second Manchu Qing ruler, costal clearances to quell a Ming revolt.
Today the old town has been spruced up for tourism and has more snack stalls than you can shake a stick at. As you can see there are plenty of tourists taking advantage of the end of the zero COVID policy.
