Eskom says the renewable energy on the electricity grid is helping Eskom to keep the lights on. The power utility, which is currently load shedding across the country, says renewables are the reason why there's no complete blackout of the system. Speaking to our reporter via Zoom Liabo Setho, Eskom Spokesperson Sikonathi Mantshantsha says five of its power stations have either experienced breakdowns of undergoing maintenance which has led to the current stage two load shedding. He's also shed light on the current reports against the COO Jan Oberholzer.
