UPDATE: As of April 8, 2022, employers are no longer required to have a COVID-19 Safety Plan and must follow communicable disease guidance instead.
If you’re an employer in British Columbia, it’s important that you continue to review, update, and communicate your COVID-19 safety plans as conditions change. The fourth step in developing a workplace COVID-19 safety plan is to educate and train your workers.
You must ensure that everyone entering the workplace knows how to keep themselves safe in your workplace.
Have a training plan to ensure everyone is trained in workplace policies and procedures.
Provide workers with policies for staying home when sick.
Post signage at the workplace to communicate policies and procedures as required.
Train supervisors on monitoring workers and the workplace to ensure policies and procedures are being followed.
Let’s stay committed to keeping workplaces in British Columbia healthy and safe.
