The global agrifood system is extremely complex, influenced by many factors, such as economic conditions, consumer preferences, science and technology, geopolitics, domestic and trade policies, climate change, and other environmental impacts.
To make sense of all these complexities and help countries plan for the future, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development and the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations work together to produce the annual OECD-FAO Agricultural Outlook.
This comprehensive and forward-looking report outlines the potential evolution of agricultural and fish markets at national, regional and global levels over the next decade.
The Outlook analyses production, consumption, trade and price data at country level across 40 different agricultural commodities.
Produced every year, the Outlook captures emerging developments, assesses their likely medium-term impacts, and incorporates them into plausible baseline projections – providing a rich source of information for governments, the agricultural industry, international and regional organizations, academia and other interested stakeholders.
