The Devil, Lucifer Morningstar, grows bored with his rule in Hell and retires to Los Angeles, where he opens a nightclub called Lux. His life takes a turn when he becomes involved in a murder investigation and starts assisting LAPD detective Chloe Decker with his unique abilities, such as compelling people to reveal their deepest desires. As he helps solve crimes, Lucifer begins to grapple with his own guilt and seek redemption, blending crime procedural with supernatural drama.
