Shebaa Farms
The Shebaa Farms is a disputed region between Lebanon and Israel situated near the Hermon mountain range at the Lebanon-Syria border.
The Shebaa Farms were seized by Israel during the 1967 Middle East conflict and are a part of Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. After Israel invaded Lebanon during the Lebanese civil war, it continued to occupy territory in southern Lebanon until 2000. But even after its withdrawal from Lebanon, Israel continued to occupy Shebaa Farms to this day.
Lebanon says it owns the Shebaa Farms and Syria agrees. But the UN has ruled that it belongs to Syria and Israel has said that it will only withdraw from the area via negotiations with Syria.
