THE LOEB'S ACCIDENT LETS OUT OF MONTE CARLO RALLY 2015
The duel between the two Sebastien has been frustrated in the last part of the second day, when Loeb had an accident in his Citroen DS3 WRC pulling a wheel. There is over the great attraction of the 2015 Monte Carlo Rally, the fight between the last two world champions.
After Loeb display yesterday, everything seemed to indicate that today could maintain that pace, especially because in the first stage of the day again imposed on all rivals. However, the difficult conditions of the day, ice, snow, water and mud on the stages, the day became almost a lottery. The mist, to make matters worse, made things more difficult for all drivers.
The bad starting position and accumulated in the mud sections hurt Loeb, on the penultimate stage and had to give the head of the rally Ogier. At last he lost control of the car, hit a concrete block and ripped a wheel, losing all your options. At least he will rejoin the race tomorrow and surely will leave good example of its capabilities.
THE end of the second day has left a more common scenario, the three head of Volkswagen in general. The leader is Ogier, with 1:45 lead over Latvala (if it ends so it will be a great position for Finnish) and 2:34 on Mikkelsen. Citroën struts will put things easy for the German squad since Kris Meeke also suffered an accident in the last section. The best French car is, therefore, the Norwegian Mads Ostberg, fifth behind Ott Tanak Estonian (Ford).
Dani Sordo has won several positions today. The Spaniard is now eighth overall, just behind Thierry Neuville, the separating him just over half a minute. The Spanish will also monitor Martin Prokop, which is less than a minute yours, insufficient difference to the remaining sections, including Faye stretch of 51 kilometers.
