Many of us have faced training without access to the gym over the past year. While this might seem like a setback, the truth is that it can be liberating! Being out of the gym gives you more space to move around (which should be a priority for any workout), it gives you privacy and confidence, and it is highly convenient.
While we might think we need very heavy weights and fancy equipment to get into shape, there are many more ways to build strength, stamina, and athleticism. To get fit without the gym, you just need to get a little creative!
Bodyweight training provides countless options. Training for explosiveness often works best with added resistance totaling no more than 30% of your bodyweight. And changing the tempo, lengthening the lever arm, and more can all be used to increase the challenge.
