Addressing the 27th World Road Congress in Prague, Union Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari emphasised India's status as the world's 'second-largest road network and the third-largest automobile manufacturing hub.' However, he highlighted the pressing challenge of the nation's high accident rates. 'We are losing 3% of the GDP due to these accidents,' the Union Minister added.
