'Slow Motion' from Blondie's fourth LP 'Eat to the Beat', was slated as the final single from the album. However, as time progressed and 'Call Me' shot straight up the charts blowing 'The Hardest Part' which was climbing up the charts and stalling at #83 on the Billboard Hot 100 due to the reaction to Call Me', it was never released. Producer Mike Chapman even cut a new single mix but was never released. In 1994 when 'Atomic' was re-released as a Maxi Single remix EP, Slow Motion was included and again remixed my Chapman as a "Stripped Down Motown Mix". The vocals are moved to the forefront with the reverb removed, the bass more pronounced and back up vocals used sparingly sometimes cut altogether giving it a more alternate 60's sound as this track was a tribute to Motown written by Jimmy Destri and Laura Davis who also co-wrote 'Angels on the Balcony' from AutoAmerican.
