After it was sold and closed in 2014, many thought that it was the end of the line for US production of Ovation Guitars in CT, which had been in New Hartford for 47 years, and production of all Ovation guitars was sent overseas to Asia. However, after a recent purchase by Drum Workshop, former Ovation plant workers made a pitch to their new owners to resurrect production right here in the United States, and as a result the plant is reopening and guitars bearing the iconic local Ovation brand name will be made in Connecticut once again!
