After a two year hiatus, The Man In The High Castle, the alternate history, Axis-powers-won-the-Second-World-War drama, returns to Amazon Prime this Friday. Set in the (obviously) fictional Greater Nazi Reich, the show has never exactly been shy about about its use of Nazi imagery—remember those MTA ads? For members of the cast, the constant barrage of Nazi symbolism at work, while intended for storytelling purposes, can cause an unfortunate familiarity with Nazism. Obviously that’s a problem, and the cast is hyperaware of it. In a recent set visit, we talked to three Man In The High Castle stars—Chelah Horsdal, Rufus Sewell, and Bella Heathcote—about becoming familiar with Nazi imagery and resisting immunity to it.
