Khrey Khrong - a hand crafted bamboo mouth harp was very popular in the old days in marma communities. It was also played in other communities as well.
It was played to express each others' feelings between young boys and girls. Everyone used to carry this little mouth harp with them and played it in their leisure time. It's also played along with marma folk songs such as kapya, langa, rudu, chagayang etc.
But, nowadays it became very rare to be seen. The new generations of indigenous communities are educated and they use letter to express their feelings.
It's a very important part of marma culture with a lot of stories!
