Daily Vlog #37: 3D Theory here! Good morning from my tiny 3D print farm! Today's vlog kicks off with an early start and a bit of a hiccup in our prototyping process. We began by 3D printing a miniature version of our Stealth TV Tray, but despite the high hopes, we ran into a snag, the cylindrical center bar toppled over, leaving behind a small mess of spaghetti-like filament. Although much of the 3D print looked great, the mini model's small scale meant the tolerances were too tight, forcing me to scrap it. Not deterred, I shifted our strategy to focus on rapid prototyping at 100% scale. I've selectively cut out of the model and 3D printed only the interlocking parts of the Stealth TV Tray to conserve filament and accelerate our testing phase. One full leg was printed to assess its structural integrity and ability to bear weight without bending excessively. As we got these prints started on three of our five Bambu Lab A1 3D printers, including the one with the AMS Lite Combo, an unexpected maintenance task popped up, we had to lubricate the Y-axis guide rail to ensure smooth operations. By the end of this video, we will have started the print for the pieced-out, full-scale Stealth TV Tray to check for perfect fit and tolerances.
