Here’s a guillotine gate to be added at the end of the Livestock Working Chute that I made out of Pallets. This will allow me to stop them in the chute and work them. I made it from materials I had around the homestead, and I’ll walk you through the process.
This will work for either sheep or goats, and should reduce their stress… and mine. I won’t have to be wrestling my sheep as often now. I’ll have to put a ‘stop’ on the other end, but that will be another video.
If I had bought it, this gate would have cost me about $200. It probably cost me less than 20 bucks because of the materials I had on hand... another reason not to throw away stuff... especially metal !
