MV Clansman, a Caledonian MacBrayne Western Isles ferry) sailing past Troon on its way round the South of Arran, and making good speed following repairs.
I finished work and arrrived in the centre of Whiting Bay just before 8pm and spotted this making its way Southwards.
So I got the camera out. What a cracking evening too, perfectly still and warm. The vessel initially looks closer than it is, but was maybe about 6 miles away from me I think
MV Clansman was due to undergo sea trials before it can return to regular service up at North Uist and Harris.
At the time of writing (9pm) the vessel was heading towards the Mull of Kintyre.
