The NHS’s 70th birthday is an opportunity to look back at the history of the NHS and to celebrate and thank the millions of staff and volunteers who have served it over the last seven decades.

Through the memories and stories of former NHS staff, this film explores the early days of the NHS and how, shortly after World War Two, it came into being and changed the health of the nation.
