April 1986 - Houston meets Gainsbourg on the French TV show "Champs Elysees" presented by Drucker.

Houston later furiously left the set. Drucker attempted to see her at 2am at the George V hotel, where she stayed, in order to apologise. He ended up leaving flowers on her hotel room doorstep. Years later, they met again in Monaco and laughed about the event.
