Sherman Pass Road (between 6,000' - 6,500')- Sequoia National Forest- Southern Sierra Nevada- Tulare County, Central California. Here, my friend Brett and I check out the scenery along the scenic Sherman Pass Road, on the west side of Sherman Pass. The silktassel bushes I pondered are actually Pale Silktassel (Garrya flavescens), the main silktassel of Tulare County on the west slope of the Sierras, the same one I see a lot in Southern California's mountains. Congdon and Fremont Silktassels are not known from this area! The manzanita in the video IS Arctostaphylos viscida ssp. viscida (A. viscida ssp. mariposa is the glandular/hairy subspecies).
