My dogs were killing baby rabbits in the backyard, I saved this one and it’s sibling.
I know it was scared. It’s fine. I’ve moved many of them to the front yard garden before. The back is fenced and my dogs cannot get to the front unsupervised.
No, my scent was not a problem. That’s a dumbass myth used to keep children from picking up animals. It does not apply to rabbits this age or birds, and this rabbit was too old to be fully dependent on its mom. It only applies to /newborn/ rabbits, hamsters and mice. Not ones this big.
Getting killed by a dog would be worse that this, don’t throw a fit in the comment section.
