Lcpl Christian Bautista made his final journey home to be laid to rest!
The 21 year old Lcpl, was serving as a turret gunner on an M-1151 Enhanced Armament Carrier — an armored Humvee when the accident occurred around 7:15 a.m. Sunday, 20 October.
Bautista, was a motor vehicle operator assigned to the 1st Transportation Support Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, 1st Marine Logistics Group at Camp Pendleton. He enlisted in the Marine Corps in September 2018 and reported to 1st TSB in May. Bautista’s unit was conducting tactical logistics support training at the Mountain Warfare Training Center, the Marine Corps said.
Bautista’s awards include the National Defense Service Medal and the Global War on Terror Service Medal.
